Chris Godfrey is a member of the Indiana State Bar AssociationSt. Joseph County Bar AssociationLife Care Planning Law Firms AssociationLawyers With Purpose, Aging Connections of Michiana, LLC and the Michiana Institute for Successful Aging where he also served as an advisor.

     He graduated from the University of Michigan where he played on three Rose Bowl teams. After his professional football career he graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School where he also taught Sports and Entertainment Law. He has worked in the financial services industry, and interned with the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.


     Chris played nine years of professional football. As the starting right guard for the Super Bowl XXI champion New York Giants in 1987, he earned honors as All-Pro (NFL Films), and All-NFC (AP, UPI). And belongs to the NFL Alumni and the National Football League Players Association.

     He is active in his community and among other things has served as president of the St. Joseph High School Board where he also served as a volunteer coach and conducted free NFL-sponsored football camps and events for Special Olympics. He also supports the elderly and their caregivers through special events offered at area nursing homes.  He and his wife Daria reside in South Bend, Indiana. They have six children, and seven grandchildren.
